Directions to Casa Picaflores

Casa Picaflores is located in the Cubuy sector of the municipality of Naguabo which is near the east coast of Puerto Rico. Below the south-eastern section of the El Yunque rainforest.

Driving directions:

From the north ( from Fajardo) Drive south on superhighway # 53 until exit #22 which says: 'Rio Blanco, Juncos'. As you exit on the ramp make a right turn and you will be on route # 31, for about 1 mile. Road # 31 makes a left over a metal bridge, but you stay straight and that puts you on road # 191 ( on the south side of the mountains - there is no longer any connection at the top so you can not get here starting on the north side of # 191)

Follow the river a bit, very scenic countryside. in a few miles you will see a large cement bridge on your left, which you cross. You will still be on # 191 south. Immediately after the bridge make a sharp right turn onto a secondary road which curves then proceeds over a small bridge and starts going gently uphill, alongside a smaller river. This is our road. Our entrance is hard to see but it is on the right after you enter a section of the road that is completely shaded with a tree canopy. Look for our sign.

From the south ( from Humacao ) There is no exit #22 as you come up from the south so you must overshoot it and get off on exit # 20 then turn under the overpass and get back on Hwy # 53 going south.. you will then exit on then next exit ( # 22) and follow the above directions
